I lived and worked as an English teacher in Changchun, China, from September 2007-October 2007.
Changchun is a large city in northeastern China. It is known for having a Volkswagen plant and for being close to Harbin’s world famous annual snow and ice sculpture festival (residents of Changchun contend that the Changchun snow sculpture display is just as good if not better, but I didn’t find that to be the case). Other than that, Changchun seems to not really register with the West. My guidebook (The Rough Guide To China) only had two or three paragraphs on the city.
