This guy’s almost as bad as Kim Jong-Il.
The BBC 5 Live commentators mentioned several times that Coulibaly was on-field before the match with his video camera, “soaking up the atmosphere like a tourist”. I’d guess it likely that, in addition to having a history of being a grossly  incompetent referee, Coulibaly was also paid to throw the match.
Yes, that’s just the way the game is meant to be played. A little-known rule is that whichever side looks more like Charlie Brown gets to hug the shit out of the opposing team during all set pieces.
